Last week, we sadly bid farewell to Clare Nowland. Her funeral at St. Patrick's was attended by hundreds, a testament to the respect and affection held for Clare in the community.
Clare's resilience and love for life were remembered fondly by all those in attendance. Clare marked her 80th birthday by jumping out of a plane. She was an adventurer, a tireless charity volunteer, a loved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and an active member of the community.
Clare's tragic and unnecessary passing has fuelled our resolve to fight for better conditions for our elderly citizens, especially those living with dementia. We need your voice more than ever to help prevent such a tragedy from recurring.
There have been allegations of a "cover-up" regarding the details of Clare's encounter with the police, a situation that has led to increasing demands for transparency and a thorough, impartial investigation.
Today, we ask that you share your messages of support. Together, we can protect the rights and safety of our vulnerable citizens.
