Dear supporter,
British-Armenian humanitarian group is an independent, non-funded group of volunteers, with no political affiliation and no funding from any business, religious group, think tank or political party. We have been raising awareness about innocent Armenian hostages since November 2020 through this Petition, as well as peaceful protests, Open Letters and e-mails to politicians, world leaders and human rights organisations. Our Press Releases aim to highlight the ongoing humanitarian crisis of Armenian hostages mistreated or murdered in captivity, which are barbaric crimes against humanity, blatant violations of the III Geneva Convention on prisoners of war and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, that will be brought to the Human Rights Court sooner or later.
With the help of this Petition, we aim to reach 50.000 supporters, so please kindly share the PETITION link below once a while with your friends and groups on social media:

Petition update of 6 February 2023:
The world has once again forgotten Armenian hostages spending the third consecutive Christmas in Azerbaijani prisons. Nowadays, the attention of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian widespread diaspora has been preoccupied by the new tragedy striking 120.000 indigenous Armenians of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh): since 12 December Azerbaijani militants have closed the Goris-Stepanakert highway, the only road connecting Artsakh to the outside world through the Lachin Corridor. The Armenian population in Nagorno-Karabakh is facing starvation as we write these lines, and the world is not helping!
The Baku regime has equally suspended the gas provision to native Armenians of the region: homes, schools and hospitals are without heating in freezing temperatures. This corridor has been essential since Azerbaijan banned air traffic for local Armenians in November 2020. This is a blatant violation of the Ceasefire Agreement of 9 November 2020 between the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia, where article 6 states that the Lachin corridor must be supervised only by Russian peacekeeping contingent to secure the safe passage of people and vehicles. Russian peacekeepers are failing to open the Lachin corridor and to protect the Armenian population of Artsakh. As Russian peacekeepers have been unable to fulfill their mission in Nagorno-Karabakh to secure peace, therefore the deployment of international peacekeepers under UN mandate seems the only way to prevent the genocide of Armenian population.
With winter temperatures below zero, the lives of 120,000 ethnic Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh are at imminent risk. The blockade is having its ripple effects on every-day life in Artsakh, with health official reporting a severe shortage of medicine in hospitals. The food shortage has forced Artsakh authorities to ration food and necessities.
Nevertheless, we aim to continue the campaign to free Armenian POWs and civilian hostages held illegally by the Azerbaijani regime. They have spent the third Christmas in captivity, with many of them losing hope of their repatriation. To remind you, there are 113 identified Armenian POWs and civilian hostages in Azerbaijani captivity. Only 5 POWs were released in early September 2022, following the US government intervention, but none has been released since.
Additionally, at least 35 new hostages were taken during the new military invasion by Azerbaijan on the Republic of Armenia on 13 September 2022. Later in October, 17 bodies of the most recent captives were returned to Armenia. They were brutally murdered by Azerbaijani soldiers on camera after being captured and disarmed. Among them were five females soldiers, raped, humiliated and tortured to death. Several cases of those atrocious war crimes have been already brought to international courts. These are appalling and brutal violations of human rights and the III Geneva Convention on treatment of prisoners of war that must be condemned and Azerbaijani auturoties brought to international courts.
With almost 40,000 people supporting our campaign, we are determined to continue our peaceful fight for the rights of innocent hostages held unlawfully by the Azerbaijani dictatorship, and urge the leaders of United Nations, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, USA, European Union and human rights organisations to:
1) to demand from the Azerbaijani government the immediate re-opening of the Lachin corridor ending the hardship and suffering of indigenous Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh
2) support for the immediate deployment of international peacekeepers to ensure the security of Lachin corridor and the safety of native Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh.
3) demand immediate repatriation of all Armenian POWs and hostages held illegally in Azerbaijan.
4) condemn and sanction Ilham Aliyev’s regime for organized and continuous ethnic cleansing of indigenous Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Thank you for your commitment to justice and human rights and for your support to this campaign!
