We’ve launched dedicated Community Organisation E-Portals for ratepayer associations, neighbourhood watches, CPFs, and NGOs.
For the first time in South Africa, these organisations can:
- See every reported issue in their area in real time.
- Link issues to official reference numbers.
- Set priorities and give public updates through the application.
- Work hand-in-hand with residents to resolve problems faster.
- Gives them the ability to run "mini municipalities".

🏛 Municipal Portals – Bridging the Gap
Municipalities can now have their own exclusive portals, allowing them to:
- View, assign, and update reported issues instantly.
- Communicate directly with residents through the platform.
- Use analytics and trends to improve planning and budgeting and save money.
- Gives municipalities that can't afford over-priced systems an opportunity to have access to this type of technology.
- This means fewer lost reports, faster action, and clear accountability.

💧 New Water Usage Tracker
We’ve added a Water Usage Tracker for residents to:
- Log and monitor their water meter readings.
- View their daily, weekly, and monthly consumption in handy graphs.
- Keep a full history of readings for personal records.
- Pick their municipality and get automated costs when they add their meter readings using their municipality's tariffs.

CityMenderSA is free for every resident, with no corporate backing or outside funding. It has been developed by a student with the objective of changing the system and giving power back to everyday South Africans.

- Keep your reports updated so others know the progress.
- Add new information or photos when something changes.
- Share your reference number with councillors or municipal officials for faster resolution.
Municipalities can not refuse these numbers as it is free to look up on our website. Our reference numbers are packed with information that they can use to make more effective decisions. Contractors can get direct navigation to any issue on CityMenderSA straight from its reference number by pressing "Direct Me".
