I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to share their concerns regarding the proposed Riverside Grove connection.

I understand why residents have questions, and I want you to know your concerns are being heard. I want the residents of Riverside Grove and others in our community to know that safety and protecting our neighborhoods remain a priority throughout this process.

The project is still in the design phase, and several options continue to be evaluated. The developer is working through those options, including discussions with property and business owners to determine whether an alternative route is possible that would reduce impacts to the neighborhood.

City staff has remained involved throughout the process, and my hope is that the final design provides a safe solution that addresses our transportation needs while minimizing impacts to Riverside Grove residents and the nearby school.
