EARS (Education Advocates for Responsible Spending) is committed to raising awareness about the proposed building of a combined middle school designed for up to 700 students on the Williams athletic field in Longmeadow, MA. We recognize and support the need for enhanced educational opportunities for all our students, but we can't support the current choice of site for this project. If advanced, this plan would introduce another 350 students to the area, aggravating existing traffic and safety issues. For a town that values education,  safety and lawfulness, this projected action contradicts our values. Accordingly, we request local authorities to reconsider the location for the new middle school.
