Success! Phase II voted down 4 to 3 in the planning commission.

This proposed Phase II (rehashed phase II and III) with no significant changes was voted down by the Planning Commission 4 to 3!

But as we can see they will be back with a new proposal in a couple of months.  We have work to do and I'll be contacting you on how you can help.  The developer disregarded your signatures as a lot "out of State" people who have no reason to be signing.  I explained about VPN and default City States placed on your signatures.  He also brought a lawyer to explain that they where not going to look for the slave graves because there was no conclusive evidence of them existing!  Only after they dig them up would they get SCDHEC involved and they would take it from there.  Such a shame, as these people where disregarded in life and are disregarded in their final resting place. 

There is technology to find these graves, but they claim it would be to expensive to Lidar the whole 174 acres.

There will be a lot of good reading once the minutes come out hopefully next month.  We will need your support and voices for the next phase they will propose to over develop this property into a Mega Subdivision.  With your support and reasons to reject this Mega Subdivision, hopefully we can find a better solution for rural Anderson County.
