Hi Friends!
We were given the Dallas Sanitation Department survey numbers last night and the results fully supported what our petition has been saying all along...that people WANT to keep their alley service.
Approximately 25% of the 8' and 9' alley customers responded to the survey (which is a significant response number for a survey). Of those who responded, 93% wanted to keep alley pickup. 60% of the respondents were willing to pay more to keep this important service.
The Sanitation Department is presenting their findings along with a presentation to the City Council next Wednesday, February 4th. You decide for yourself, but basically they are still pushing the Hybrid plan which means most 8' and 9' alley customers will lose this service and be forced to curbside pick up.
