Here’s what we have learned from conversations with volunteers who have reportedly spoken with members associated with JAB/JIC and Pramit K. Chaudhary regarding the third-attempt issue:

• The third-attempt issue is reportedly known to the IITs, JAB and JIC members and has already been discussed informally.

• The key point at present is IIT Delhi. According to the information received, the proposal needs to be formally placed by the organising IIT, and IIT Delhi is expected to take this forward.

• The issue was reportedly raised during the transition from IIT Roorkee to IIT Delhi, with the matter being left for IIT Delhi to take forward.

• According to the information shared by the volunteers, two options—“3 in 3” and “2 in 3”—have been put forward for consideration.

• The third-attempt issue is reportedly expected to be discussed in the upcoming JAB meeting.

• However, NO FINAL DECISION HAS BEEN TAKEN YET. Discussion of the proposal should not be interpreted as confirmation that a third attempt has been granted.

• A volunteer who spoke with Pramit K. Chaudhary reported that he indicated the matter would be taken up for discussion and asked students to remain patient and wait for the official notification.

• The expected timeline for an official notification is currently uncertain; the volunteer reported that it could come around November or potentially earlier.
