The Minister for Disabled People has responded to this petition calling for the immediate reinstatement of the Disability Cost of Living Payment. 

The Minister refers to the response provided by the ministerial team and does not provide a direct response to the petition. I found this disappointing and had expected a full response for the tens of thousands that have signed this petition.

On this basis, the stance of the government remains that these payments are under constant review but that there are no current plans to continue cost of living payments.

Tomorrow is Budget Day and it is important for as many people as possible to apply pressure by lobbying the government on this specific issue. Finally, please do consider contacting your own MP.
