The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) is facing a growing boycott by educators outraged at its abrupt firing of Steven Salaita, apparently because of his criticisms of Israel. While none of the educators are themselves using the word “boycott,” it can be said that this is what their action amounts to.
