Hello , everyone I just wanted to say thank you for your support.
This afternoon I went into the president's office hoping to make an appointment to talk to her about this. She was not there so I spoke to the vice president of the school. I address my concerns , how this was going to personally affect me , and then how it was going to affect my classmates. He said a few interesting things to me.He said that he had only known about this for 3 days , which why? Before I brought up how this was going to affect veterans/ their spouse's. He said that they've already received negative backlash on doing this.Because it's going to affect their benefits. If they were fully aware that this was going to affect their benefits , then why make this decision? They also knew that this was going to negatively affect the program because of the backwater they've already received so again , why? I also brought up that this was the third change in the program's hours in a year and a half , which is inconvenience and not acceptable. They , he then brought up the proposed ideal for another class being 8:00 am to 1:00 pm monday through friday. Which I said was great but right now there's a midshift class which is not going on during summertime, but it's only offering the first out of six classes. This proposed idea would be great if they actually fell through , because right now , it's just an idea. It's also dependent on them finding another instructor. What's the last instructor retired last June. This week. I will be going to the office again so that I can finally be able to talk to the president.
