First, thank you to the hundreds of fans who have signed this petition to show that NickRewind still matters!
With NickRewind (formerly The '90s Are All That, The Splat, and NickSplat) celebrating its 15th anniversary, Nickelodeon Animation celebrating its 35th anniversary, now is the perfect time to demand our nighttime routine back. Nickelodeon was built on iconic animated content, and having TeenNick play classic live-action and cartoons from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM Eastern Time is the best way to honor that legacy.
We need more than just signatures—we need to flood their inboxes and social media, just like the campaign that saved Family Guy.
Here is what you can do today:
- Email TeenNick/Nickelodeon: Use this email address: [Insert Current Nickelodeon PR Email] (or use the Paramount contact feedback form).
- Subject: Reinstate NickRewind (11pm-6am ET) for Nick Animation 35th Anniversary
- Message: Tell them your favorite 90s/00s show and why bringing back the 11pm-6am retro block on TeenNick is necessary for the 35th anniversary.
- Contact via Social Media: Post on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram tagging @Nickelodeon. Use the hashtags: #BringBackNickRewind #NickRewind #NickAnimation35.
- Share this Petition: Every signature counts to show Paramount the demand is real.
For nearly 11 years—from July 25, 2011, to January 31, 2022—TeenNick provided a sanctuary for nostalgia by broadcasting classics overnights. Whether you found it under the name:
- The '90s Are All That (July 25, 2011 – October 4, 2015)
- The Splat (October 5, 2015 – April 30, 2017)
- NickSplat (May 1, 2017 – March 18, 2019)
- NickRewind (March 19, 2019 – January 31, 2022)
...this programming block was essential, daily nostalgia for adults who grew up with Nickelodeon.
On January 31, 2022, TeenNick stopped carrying this programming and began operating as a 24/7 channel, ending our favorite throwback block. While we can stream, nothing beats the curated experience of watching classic cartoons and sitcoms on cable TV during those midnight hours.
We are demanding that Paramount Skydance and Nickelodeon listen to the fans and bring back the NickRewind block to TeenNick's late-night schedule.
