More BOE Overreach Revealed and How to Speak at the Next Board of Education Meeting

Attention Supporters! Another petition has come up and revealed more instances of Board overreach and conflict of interest by GERARDO CAVALIERE as the possible disruptive parent at North and MELISSA HERRERA who is the only BOE member with a son that just graduated South, which means that four of the allegations in the petition are about Herrera alone! I urge you to read and sign this additional petition and ensure the students of Valley Stream have a BOE with their interests in mind, not the personal agendas of these corrupt BOE members. Here is the details for the next Board of Education Meeting! 

Board of Education - Reorganization Meeting on July 8th, 2025 at 7:30 PM. Address: District Office Board Room 1 Kent Road  Valley Stream, NY 11580 Meeting will begin at 7:00 PM and the public speaking portion will begin at 7:30 PM.

I encourage you all to speak at this board meeting demanding an investigation into the alleged overreach and the negative impact the Research program will experience due to the removal of a teacher with a long track record of excellence. Forms to speak are available at the Public Board meetings upon entry.  Public Speakers are welcome at the Reorg Meeting, but will not have the opportunity to speak until the start of the public business meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m. You can also submit a form ahead of time with Public Speaking form for BOE Meeting and email it odellc@vschsd.org.
