Hello Supporters,
We will be submitting the petition to Reinstate Mandatory Isolation again at 20k signatures.
As you know we did our 1st submission on the 14th of October, the last day before mandatory Isolation was scrapped. We submitted 11k signatures to all members of National Cabinet, we received two standard replies, an insult to those most affected.
Removing basic public health measures to curb infection has come at the worst time. We are at the start of a new wave of COVID with variants that are more effective at evading existing immunity. With 1/3 of Australians haven't had their 3rd booster, no masks in enclosed spaces, social distancing non existent, voluntary reporting of RAT results, many PCR test sites closed with 3 day waits for results, and worst of all being free to mingle while infected, this is a recipe for disaster.
Our most vulnerable Australians and their families are now living in fear and lonely exile. Shopping for food, going to work or hugging their grandkids are now high risk activities.
The risk is not just to our most vulnerable, COVID infection puts ALL Australians at risk of developing Long Covid, a serious and often debilitating set of health complications that affects 5% or more people who are infected, and outcomes are worse for successive infections.
You signed to help protect all Australians, you are advocates for this cause, we need to call on you now to take the following steps.
1. Encourage your friends and family to sign this petition.
2. Also sign the parliamentary petition EN4520 to Reintroduce COVID isolation mandates. https://www.aph.gov.au/e-petitions/petition/EN4520/
3. Share both petitions on social media and follow us on Twitter @BringBackIso and FB " Bring Back Iso" and share content that we post. We always follow back, and if you have a story to tell about how you are being impacted then we will share. You can always PM at @BringBackIso or email to keepcovidiso@gmail.com
4. If you want to help support this campaign then reach out on Twitter or email. We need people who have the ability to reach a larger audience and medical professionals who can add validation to the campaign.
Thankyou from all of us at the BringBackIso team
