A bridge too far - Apathy wins this battle!

Hi my friends, huge gratitude to all those who signed this petition but I’m afraid that we have to admit defeat against the far bigger army called ‘indifference’.

I will continue to do battle with Dementia at a local level, so I myself am not giving up on the war, just this seemingly useless battle. Sometimes in life we have to accept that not everyone shares similar views about how things are done and I must accept this.

13,000 people out there in the online world viewed the petition, (see attached photo screen-shot), but less than 1% of all viewers decided it important enough for their, or their future families lives, to sign it to give an opportunity to take the question and request to re-instate to the actual government. If everyone who did view it signed (at no cost at all to them), then i would be already in London knocking on the door of No.10!

Getting 10,000 people’s signatures seems like a bridge too far.

The only one that will be benefitting from continuation is Change.org itself with more ‘chip-in’ fees and charges for having them click on a button to get the messages out there for us.

By the way, if you did ‘chip-in’ anything and would like a refund, please just ask me and I will gladly send it back to you somehow myself. I do not wish for others to feel morally ‘obliged’ or ‘expected’ to pay Change.org any further payments.

Am I upset? No. Am I disappointed? Yes. Am I deterred from educating our children in the schools I visit about this horrible disease? No.

I can only pray, along with others who have any type of faith, or even no faith, that a cure will come soon for our children and children’s children. Remember this was a tiny battle in the huge war, which continues until the day the first ever human can stand in a room somewhere and say the words, “I used to have Demmentia!”
