What to do Next.....

Hello,

Thank you to everyone who has signed the petition and shared your concerns and reasons for signing. I just wanted to make it clear that this petition is not to cause distress to midwives, we support all the staff working in the RUH maternity services and we want to help raise awareness of the ongoing crisis in maternity care. At the same time we feel it is important for families to have a voice and to feel empowered to speak about how this is impacting on them and their birth choices. 

I would suggest writing to your local MP (unless you are in Frome and then I suggest writing to the Bath MP, Wera Hobhouse) and asking what the government is doing to support maternity services. It is not just a local issue and it will not get better without immediate funding increases, recruitment from overseas and the return of student bursaries. If anyone has any other ideas or people that we can contact please do let me know.
