For years, the Calgary–Beijing route served as an important bridge connecting Western Canada with China, supporting business growth, tourism, education, and family connections. Its suspension has left thousands of residents, students, and travelers with fewer options and higher costs.

We, the undersigned residents, businesses, students, and travelers from Alberta and surrounding areas, call on:

Hainan Airlines (and any interested carriers) to resume YYC–PEK nonstop flights
Calgary International Airport Authority, Government of Alberta, and Transport Canada to support and facilitate this reinstatement through coordination on air rights, airport support, and marketing
Chinese consular and aviation authorities to offer assistance and cooperation as appropriate

Restoring this direct route will:

Strengthen trade, education, and cultural exchange
Support international students and family reunification
Boost Calgary’s and Alberta’s tourism and local economy
Together, let’s bring back the YYC–Beijing nonstop connection — a route that benefits people, communities, and businesses on both sides of the Pacific.

卡尔加里—北京直飞航线曾是连接加拿大西部与中国的重要桥梁，便利了商贸往来、留学交流、旅游与家庭团聚。航线停运后，给两地民众带来了极大不便，也限制了经贸与文化交流。

我们——来自阿尔伯塔省及周边地区的居民、企业、学生和旅客——共同呼吁：

海南航空（及其他有意航空公司）重新评估并恢复卡尔加里—北京直飞航班；
卡尔加里国际机场、阿尔伯塔省政府、加拿大交通部提供必要支持与协调；
中国使领馆及民航主管部门在可能范围内提供配合与协助。

恢复该航线将：

促进经贸、教育与文化交流；
方便留学生与家庭往返；
带动卡尔加里与阿尔伯塔省的旅游及经济发展。
