“The connection between the 2 Islands is strong and stems generations. Instead of cancelling service how about promote travel to Newfoundland from Ireland as much as the marketing has been done with the opposite route. We can build a great symbiotic relationship with Ireland through year round direct flights. Aer Lingus would be an amazing asset to Newfoundland tourism! Let's work together to make this happen.”

“We deserve no less and it was proven feasible.”

“Senseless to fly to Halifax or Toronto only to backtrack to get to London or Ireland. Not to mention the added cost. When are nlers going to get a break with airlines and their costs/ schedules.”

“A direct connection with Europe is very useful.”

“I am sick of going backward in order to go forward on trips plus having to deal with multiple delays due to weather, mechanical issues and crew issues. More legs to a trip equals more opportunities to get fooled up!”

“The links between Newfoundland and Ireland are profound. We need to stay directly connected.”

“It's ridiculous we have to fly to Montreal or Toronto, then back over Nfld to travel to Ireland.”

“I have family in Ireland who travel to NL every year, and family here who travel to Ireland every couple. Now it takes all day, so many stop overs and so much more money. This flight needs to be brought back!”

“The connection in culture is very alike whether it's the landscape or the personality it offers!“

“I want to see my family in Ireland and I'm terrified of flights, this direct flight makes my life so much easier!”

“It’s important to keep transport links between both areas due to shared culture, music and a possibility of business links.”

“That flight meant I could visit family in NL & then go on to conferences in Europe.”

“This is a must.”

“This is a necessary flight!”

“My nephew lives in St. John's and the flights from Dublin were 4 1/2hrs so much better than having to fly 10-12 hrs.”

“I would like to see flights between Newfoundland and Ireland restored. Don't forget to include Shannon in the flights.”

“There is a definite need for this.”

“It's a real people connection for historical purposes and brings together a family.”

“I have family in Ireland whom we love to visit.”

“Friends in Newfoundland.”

Let's keep going! In the meantime, here is a great article to read - "Five Reasons Why Newfoundland & Labrador is the Most Irish Place Outside of Ireland."
