Regular Transit Service to the Grace Hospital

After careful consideration, I have decided to CANCEL today's protest walk from Portage Avenue to the Grace Hospital. As a lifelong Winnipegger, I have experienced many 40 below days. The temperature usually warms up during the day . Not this time. The risks to the supporters of this petition during a walk are too great to go ahead with the walk. I will point out that Health Care Workers and others who have to go to Assiniboine Clinic and the Grace Hospital have no choice. These people simply have to wait outside for a feeder bus or walk. The solution to this problem is the slight rerouting of the Portage Avenue Blue Buses. There is no reason why EPC using Political Will can not find a way to solve this problem before the end of this current cold spell.  

In Conclusion, The walk today to protest the removal of Portage Avenue Bus Service to the front door of the Grace has been CANCELLED due to the cold weather.
