We have an exciting update to share - the new Fulton County Shelter is 50% complete, and the long- awaited opening timeline has been set!  

Fulton County officials recently held a ceremony to celebrate the shelter’s halfway- to- completion mark and announced the new facility will open to the public in November 2023!

Truth be told, the shelter is needed now more than ever. With 360+ dogs at a facility that was built to hold 80, it gets crowded fast. A recent canine flu outbreak has further complicated things, as animals continue to infect each other due to the lack of space. All of the issues we listed in our petition nearly four years ago still prevail today.In fact, the situation has gotten more dire.

But there is a light at the end of the tunnel - a new shelter will help bring much-needed relief to Fulton County’s animals and the staff that work so hard to support them. We would have never achieved this milestone without your support. Thank you for signing the petition and being a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves!
