Reform UN Veto Power: Require 3 Votes Instead of 1 to Block Peace
The Issue
My name is M Arif Billah Arefin from Bangladesh.
We are witnessing a humanitarian tragedy. Thousands of children are dying in Gaza, but ceasefire resolutions in the United Nations are blocked because a single country uses its veto.
The UN was founded in 1945 to be neutral and protect peace, not to follow the order of one superpower. When one veto cancels 193 countries, it is not democracy, it is injustice.
Our Demand: A resolution should only be blocked if at least 3 out of 5 permanent members vote against it, not just 1. No single nation should have the power to stop peace.
Please sign and share if you believe UN should be neutral.
