PETITION UPDATE — NEW DEMANDS FOLLOWING RESIDENT FEEDBACK IN E16

Dear supporters,

Following conversations with residents who signed our paper petition in E16, we have updated our petition to include two additional requests to Newham Council.

1. Bring Back the First Free Parking Permit

Residents have called for the return of Newham's previous policy allowing the first resident parking permit to be issued free of charge.

2. Independent EV Parking Fire Safety Assessment

Residents have also raised concerns about electric vehicles being parked alongside petrol and diesel vehicles in closely spaced residential streets, particularly in North Woolwich.

We are requesting an independent, evidence-based safety assessment in consultation with the London Fire Brigade.

Our original demands for fairer parking charges, a review of the diesel surcharge and affordable monthly payments remain unchanged.

These additions reflect concerns raised directly by local residents. We recognise that earlier signatures were collected under the original wording.
