Good morning everyone.
Earlier this week, we surpassed the 2500 threshold, which 17 weeks in, is very good going and way more than we expected to be at by this early stage.
Following another leave to appeal being rejected by the Court of Appeal, Lucy has now changed legal teams, with Mark McDonald now at the helm. Mark seeks to build a case to take to the CCRC, with the hope of all charges being granted a full and fair appeal.
We have every faith in what Mark is doing behind the scenes and unlike some of the armchair experts, we are happy to leave him to what he knows best and feel no need to tell him how to do his job.
What we can do to support this process is keep on getting the basics right and do the things we are able to do in the right and proper way.
The petition is one of our main campaign assets, so again I urge everyone to continue to share this among close family and friends or on social media if you feel confident enough in doing so. If you don't want to do that, you could also do a promotion, with any amount you are able to afford.
REMEMBER: The Yellow Butterfly Group does NOT seek or accept donations of any kind and the money from any paid promotions go directly to change.org, as this is the nature of their business model.
Another thing you can do to help Lucy is to write to your local MP. There are a number of different angles you can come from when doing this. You could ask them to refer your concerns onto the Secretary of State for Justice, or you could also ask them to support David Davis' probe into Lucy's case, when this comes into fruition.
Please note that to get any sort of acknowledgement from your MP, your letter / email MUST contain the following 4 pieces of information.
- Your name
- Address
- Email address
- Phone number
Don't make it easy for them to ignore you.
Once again, I thank each and everyone of you who have signed and supported this petition. For Lucy to be given the justice and fair treatment she deserves, we can all contribute something to the story that I have no doubt will have the right ending, so let's keep on fighting for her and continue to do her proud.
Best wishes,
Christopher Logan (Yellow Butterfly Group Founder, Chairman and Campaign Lead)
