Petition updateReestablish and reopen the Derwent Valley Museum. This was located in the western tower of the Derwent Reservoir dam wall and run privately by the late Vic Hallam. It unfortunately closed for whatever reasons, but is a missed asset.
Update. Museum in situ and not in storage after all.

Having been tipped off by a friend, it appears that the contents of the museum are still in situ in the dam.
Robert Largan MP recently visited and posted on Facebook. He was touring the dam with Severn Trent and is keen for the museum to be accessible again,
If you are a constituent please let him know your feeling and support for this to be accessible, and let’s continue to put pressure on Severn Trent water to not let this resource disappear.
