1200 signatures. Next steps

Firstly thank you all so much for your support, shares and signatures. It proves to me that this is certainly something worth fighting for. Please continue to share the petition on any platform you think may be interested. 

Whilst a sensitive subject  as the museum was the vision of Vic Hallam, Severn Trent Water play a key part.

Their initial response was the following:

“Thanks for your enquiry about themuseum at Derwent. This has been closed for a number of years due to the risk that letting the public access the dam brings. We did put in for planning to build a new museum at Fairholmes, but this was unfortunately met by a number of objections which meant the application was deferred. With the application being deferred this meant that we were unable to secure the funding we were hoping to as, is often the case, funding is linked to a specific period in time.I trust this explains the Severn Trent position.Best Regards, Phil

Whilst their response is not the positive one hoped,  they later confirming that the museum pieces are safely stored. Therefore we need an answer on their plans going forward.

The ask is to  please message Severn Trent Warer to let them know that 1200 of you, along with myself, care about the story this museum told and that there is nothing else around that covers so much history.
