A great comment was posted by Mr. Manoharan Ramsudarshan about the need for these laws. Especially comparing with developed countries of Europe. 

Following is the comment by our fellow Indian facing this issue -

I support govt.'s new policies, but this one is giving too much flexibility to the corporates. There is something called life for the employees and they need to balance it with work. Increasing working hours doesn't mean higher productivity. Take Japan for example: people work for more than 10 hours daily, but its people have the lowest productivity on the whole world. On the other hand, Germany has a 33 hour weekly work, and the world knows of how good is German workforce. I would strongly suggest the govt. at least to discuss such rules with educated people and think and debate before launching it.
