An additional aim

As you all know, this petition aims to reduce the number of items required for rescanning at random checks at Tesco self-service checkouts. Particularly for large numbers of items of shopping, a maximum of ten items required for rescanning would be acceptable.

However, I was caught out the other week during a small shop at Tesco when the hand-held device required a rescan. I only had 10 items — and ALL of them were rescanned. Not only was I delayed but some of the items were not put back properly.

I realised this petition’s aim could backfire with smaller numbers of items of shopping, so I added a second aim to this petition — with small numbers of items of shopping (for example, 10 or less) only a fraction of those items are to be rescanned, if required.
