First milestone reached - Let’s keep getting more signatures for this petition! And moment of irony!

A twist of irony hit me the very next day after starting this petition, and brought it home, just how important it is to make roads safe for everyone!

Literally the very next time I left my house after setting up this petition, I was about to go and visit family, I was faced with two pickup trucks parked just beyond my car on my layby, who were trying to rescue a white van, belonging to a security company, which had planted itself on its side, literally a meter or two away from my neighbours' garden fence, and from my husband's car, in the hedge on the side of the field that is beyond our properties (2 semis). This is the closest I have ever seen a vehicle to my house through a mishap, and I have no idea how he managed to get into this position! 

This is not the only part of the A371 I have seen vehicles parked in hedges, quite often on their sides, but our bend does seem to be a hotspot, and it needs making safer! The whole stretch of road does, in my humble opinion! I don't think I should have to worry about this happening outside of my property every few months, and feel concerned about it damaging our property, or god forbid, injure one of my family, or my neighbours - nobody should!

When these incidents become a pattern, the relevant parts of the authorities should take note, and act accordingly!
