Wow! We just hit 500 signatures!
Thank you for your role in getting us to this number and thank you for sharing your stories on why you are signing. You've talked about grandparents not being able to visit grandkids, people who have had to move off the islands because of the parking situation and hundreds of dollars in fines AND damage to your cars from inadequate parking. Your stories are exactly why I am going to ask for your help to spread the word and to help us make sure that the Redland City Council can't ignore us.
Can you please share this with 3 people who would sign the petition? 3 people who could help understand the pains that people who live on the Islands or work on the islands feel? 3 people who can make sure that our elderly, disabled and vulnerable community members have a reliable way to connect to the mainland with dignity.
If you could get 3 people to sign, we would blow past our goal of 1,200 signatures - this is the same amount of signatures as car spaces council plans to make for shared use. Your efforts in educating the public and gaining signatures would be invaluable to us.
So please, share this petition with friends, family, neighbours and all those that you know. Share with them on Facebook, via email or just talk with them about the plans the council has to leave the Redland Bay Islanders cut off from the mainland.
Thank you for signing and for your continued support.
