In just an hour of posting this campaign, I have received a response from the President of the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) on email, acknowledging our concerns and suggesting that we first assess the quality of the new jersey before making any conclusions. While we appreciate the response, we want to emphasize that our primary issue is not the fabric or material—it is the uninspired design itself.

The heart of this campaign is about ensuring The Flames wear a jersey that reflects Malawian identity, creativity, and football culture. No matter how good the material might be, a poorly designed jersey does not inspire pride or truly represent our national team.

We are reiterating our call for a public design challenge where Malawian creatives can submit and vote on an authentic design. We urge FAM to listen to the voices of supporters and take action to ensure that our national team wears a kit we can all be proud of.
