We, the undersigned are petitioning Redbridge Council to stop the introduction of pay-and-display parking in Wanstead High Street Monday to Saturday.

We live in a democracy but the council is imposing these charges even though only seven percent of household said they thought that parking would be made easier by pay-and-display. For Redbridge Council to impose these charges ignores much evidence that they will harm businesses.

It shows a reckless disregard for the well-being of businesses and ignores the wishes of the majority of those who use who use Wanstead High Street.
