Wanted to give everyone a quick update. The petition was delivered Monday as planned to Judge Sakai and Judge Saldana‘s office, however, Judge Saldana was not in. It was recommended that the petition also be delivered to Councilwoman Meza Gonzalez’s attorney, as well as the DA’s office to the prosecuting attorney. The petition was delivered to the defense attorney, however, the prosecuting attorney at the DA’s office did not want a copy. It was however discussed with the prosecuting attorney the relationship and that the public wishes for a recusal for a fair trial.

At this point, everyone who needs a copy of the petition recognizing the relationship between Judge Saldana and the councilwoman’s family have it and are aware. We’ll wait and see what happens Monday in court! Thank you to everyone who signed, shared, and donated to promote it.
