Dear friend of Mzuzu,

Thank you so much for your signature. Our campaign has been pushing limits, and shaking political views.

Your support has made the difference, and we have raised awareness among MSPs, Fair Trade activists, WFTO, the Fairtrade system, and other groups.

However, we ask for one last push from you.

We have a crowdfunding campaign that ends on 24th October at 11 am.

Any contribution is helpful: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/mzuzu-coffee

If each of the almost 1,000 petitioners were to give £5, we would have enough to cover our campaign costs.

We count on your donation to keep this revolution going.

Since we started we have:

  • dismantled rumours against Mzuzu;
  • stopped European traders using Mzuzu's name inappropriately and for their own benefit;
  • opened the channel with the Scottish Government to support Malawian products again;
  • started a new conversation to review certification parameters to benefit farmers;
  • got closer to resuming recertification steps for Mzuzu.

Your financial contribution is vital

Former Mzuzu's CEO, Bernard B Kaunda, says:

"We cannot reduce poverty when farmers who are in majority in the World face artificial hurdles in trade just because you want them to be suppliers of agricultural commodities other than processed and packaged products.

The World will only be a better place if we can even out the playing field in the value chain between producers and consumers.

The burden of the have nots who are in majority lies squarely on the shoulders of the few who have. Trade justice would narrow this gap and make each group to be more self-reliant.

Re-certify Mzuzu Coffee."
