Some of you may know me or of me; some may not. Those who do not:
I am starting this petition because as most of you know Jared and Amer got into some difficulties today (June 20th). Most who have purchased any products of the shop know how cool, calm, collective, and chill both of them are. Apparently any of the products they were selling in Kentucky are still illegal once they are exposed to heat UNLESS medically approved. I was flabbergasted at it. I have always been told we as humans are constantly evolving and in the words of Martha Stewart: “Once you’re through changing, you’re through.”
Today has ignited the spark of change. Middlesboro and Kentucky even, often get left to the waste side. We don’t evolve with the times. Those who have lived here I beg you to ask yourself when did Middlesboro become allowed to sell alcohol? Yes, I understand that those two “trafficked” to minors. That does not mean that every single shop will. They say these products have a mass appeal to the youth. I see youth drinking alcohol, even doing worse. Why isn’t there a ban on it ? Because it’s taxed? I fail to believe the only issue is that the youth is appealed to it. Thc- a does interfere with brain yes but only under the age of 25 years and with underlying mental issues. We understand that once legalized there will be a tax and we are fully prepared to pay the taxation. It is wrong to strip adults of the choice to buy flavored nicotine “juice” for vaporizers but unlimited access to cigarettes and dipping tobacco when they have more extreme, harsh chemicals. It is also unfair to ban thc-a and delta products because of children. If we could possibly incorporate a device that could automatically scan licensures (Id) and someone at the doors to check they match I’m sure that would cut down on the amount of minors that were being sold these products. I’m not only explaining the dilemma at hand here, I’m offering solutions.
Im aware this probably won’t gain much traction and that’s alright by me, I’ll still take the chances.
THC-A has helped me in some of the most trying and dire times of my life. I have chronic hypertension, suffered with HG when I was pregnant, and I’ve had a slew of gastrointestinal issues. Multiple of those times I relied on THC-A and it helps more than just myself. As mentioned in the main post. I highly believe that it should at least be able to be accessed by those who may not have the nerve to go to the cannabis clinics to get the cards, some folks may not have the financial stability (some with chronic pain in Kentucky live on social security checks monthly) they may not be able to afford the money for the card plus month to month dispensary prices. Kentucky is poverty stricken the last thing we need to do is make those with chronic pain and such suffer worse during trying times. I’d love your support. I’m not asking for a whole lot just a signature.
