The Mayor of Canajoharie has released a statement in response to all the attention and media coverage that the board's decision has garnered in the last few days. In it they have changed the wording from "Closed Indefinitely" to "closed temporarily" although that seems to still mean closed for the rest of the year. They also say that the board intends to hold a public meeting "sometime in the fall or winter" to discuss the possibilities of reopening safely with the community.
Let's continue to hold them accountable and show up to make our voices heard. We have power as the people to create the changes that benefit us and future generations of Canajoharie residents.
