We're staying the course! Forward!
With thanks to East Side Collaborative Partnership, and Covington Associates Consulting.
In response to the (ridiculous) Finding Of No Significant Impact Determination, issued by the Federal Highway Administration, and which signaled that New York State's Department of Transportation would be spared the Requirement to conduct a comprehensive Environmental Impact Study of their (proposed) Project, in addition to the Plan's Concept/Alternate Options, our East Side Collaborative Partnership has pressed forward in seeking to gain a (comprehensive) Humboldt Parkway Neighborhood Health Study. Why? Because we believe 'something' constructive needs to be done, in light of the reality that high-speed highways, like the NY Route 33 Kensington Expressway, are known and have been proven, all around the world, to make people sick. We're not surprised that Humboldt Parkway Neighborhood Residents have innumerable health complaints, claims, and concerns that they and their Loved Ones are suffering from such variety of Environmental Illnesses. We're angry, and in a constructive way. We're going to 'do something' about the prospect of their being forced to wait through another 70 year lifespan of the dreadful Kensington Expressway. That is simply unconscionable! Stay tuned to this petition page, for updates. You should also tune into:
