Hello,

We heard back from the HSMBC; "Further to your request for information regarding the Creation of Fossmobile, your email has been forwarded to the Secretariat of the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada."

"The press release attached to your message relates to subjects discussed at the Board’s June 2025 meeting, for which recommendations for designation were submitted to the Minister and subsequently approved." (You are reading that right, a full year.)

"Please note that the Board discussed the Creation of Fossmobile at their June 2026 Board meeting. When the Minister has rendered a decision regarding the recommendations arising from that meeting, you will be informed."

"Please note that this process may take several months."

So, the good news is we were heard and while they never shared with us any aspect of our re-written submission; like what they agreed with, might have elaborated on or dismissed, we should be proud of our combined tenacity and perseverance, including the petition with almost 700 names on it. That now will be terminated, as it had the effect we had hoped for.
