As we close in on 650 names added to the petition not much is coming from the Historical Sites and Monuments Board that we can brief you on. For three months now they have had in their hands the re-written Submission Report. We had assumed from the conference call with them that there may have been some back and forth continued collaborative editing of the report, but to date that has not been the case. 

While they had acknowledged receiving it there has been no other feedback. Questions posed to staff and the interim CEO  remain unanswered. It has been four weeks now since the interim CEO stated that we would receive word "soon " and it has been three weeks since a staff member made that very exact statement to us. 

While they acknowledged some of the endorsement letters sent to them as part of the nomination, they have not acknowledged the letters sent to them by the Burlington Member of Parliament. 

As far as we know the next scheduled HSMBC committee meeting is sometime in June, so one must assume we should hear something in the very near future or "soon" as to whether the re-written Submission Report will be re-submitted or not.
