Hello,

On Friday, March 6th we received an acknowledgement from the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada (HSMBC) of the email(s) we sent to them right after the decline notification. We at least now know that our appeal document has been received and presumably reviewed. They have offered to have a discussion with us sometime the week of March 9th. No date has been set as yet. 
 
The HSMBC has not yet been made aware of the petition started by us and so that effort will continue until that meeting takes place and we can re-access our position.

An on‑camera interview was conducted with Cogeco's, YourTV on Friday, featuring a roaming journalist whose questioning was measured and even‑handed. We openly discussed the wording and positioning of the petition and it will be included in their on-air piece. Their hope is to air the segment on Monday, pending the producer’s scheduling priorities.

The sharing of the petition continues to be an important step to building the mommentum needed to counter the decline position of the HSMBC committee. Thank you to all those who have signed it already.
