As promised, I have sent the petition, of 173 signatures, to Councillor Tracey Dixon, Leader of South Tyneside Council, on VE Day.  I hope the significance of the day might make a difference.  I have copied the email to all South Shields Councillors in the hope that they will all read and understand the sentiment of the original gift, rather than simply do as they're told!

Thank you to everyone who signed and shared the petition.  I do hope that we will finally get Temple Memorial Park the recognition it deserves and we don't need to go back and try this again in a year or so.
