April 2024: ISTANBUL (AP) — Khalil al-Hayya, a high-ranking Hamas official who negotiated a cease-fire and hostage exchange deal, told The Associated Press that for more than 15 years Hamas's position has been, and remains a willingness to accept a two-state solution if an independent Palestinian state is established along pre-1967 borders.
