Update: The Lancet and Pasteur Network amplify our call to restore the Pasteur Institute of Iran

I am sharing an important update: our concern for the Pasteur Institute of Iran has now been recognized in The Lancet through the Correspondence, “Damage to Pasteur Institute of Iran threatens regional health security.” The article makes clear that harm to this historic public health institution is not only a national loss, but a threat to regional health security.
For more than a century, the Pasteur Institute of Iran has supported vaccine production, diagnostics, surveillance, reference laboratories, and outbreak response. The Pasteur Network has also publicly shared this message, supporting the Institute’s staff and scientists and calling for restoration of its essential public health capacities.
This is exactly why this petition matters.
We are calling for international attention, solidarity, and practical support to help restore the Pasteur Institute of Iran’s laboratory, diagnostic, surveillance, and vaccine-production capabilities.
