I am so thankful for each and everyone of you for your signatures and sharing support that we are seeing growing momentum already for of wonderful and just preservation of Southampton city's heritage.
I have absolutely fallen in love with our rich and varied extremely well preserved history here in the beautiful city of Southampton. We preserve our ancient medieval walls, towers and churches, we memorialise to remember each and every person from the Titanic and the war and so much more.
These are parts of of England are already some of the most well preserved middle age ruins and until the birth of this petition, we have lost touch with the importance and significance of possibly the proudest and strongest historical symbol and building of them all!
We owe it to the people who gave their lives to pirates, Vikings and Romans that sacked the city of the good people that have called this place home since before the Belgae tribes of more ancient times.
We also owe it to ourselves and each and every person to come, our loved ones and people travelling to our beautiful city, we owe everyone the opportunity to look in wonder upon the castle walls and to stand upon them from the hills on the river Itchen, or wherever we all decide and see all of the church spires, the clock tower, the guild hall, the ancient walls, the docks and harbours and every single merchant and resident that make up our wonderful historical and moderns city today!
