Exciting news! Asheville Parks and Recreation launched the Community Survey today to gather input for the pool reconstruction project. Please take the survey here (scroll down to find the survey):

APR is asking the community to rank its priorities. We are asking that you consider writing in "deep end" to the "other" category under "pool features." Why? It has always been our goal to rebuild the Malvern Hills Pool to the same dimensions and depth, rather than agree to have them install a wading pool or splash pad. A large pool with a deep end allows for swimming lessons, life guard trainings, and other programming that is important to our community. It also allows the pool to serve more residents.

We need APR to hear our voices, loud and clear: rebuild Malvern Hills Pool as a modern, safe, ADA-compliant facility that still honors the history and legacy of a full-size community swimming pool.
