Malvern Hills Pool Supporters,

When we started this campaign to rebuilt Malvern Hills Pool, we did so to preserve this community gathering space that has brought joy and recreation to our City every summer for 90 years.

In the last week, the landscape -- and needs -- of our City and region have transformed dramatically. Hurricane Helene swept through, wiping out homes, businesses, and roads, leaving destruction in its wake. 

But our spirits are not broken. We saw neighbors become family over shared meals, helping hands, and encouraging words. Hope remains strong. Our communities will come back from this, and we will do it by working together. What a humbling, powerful, and beautiful showing of community spirit has risen from the mud and floodwaters of this terrible and tragic storm.

I am proud to be a resident of Asheville and a neighbor to all of you incredible, big-hearted, generous, and strong people. Who knows what the future holds -- we will find out together.
