Dear Malvern Hills Pool Supporters,

Yesterday, Memorial Day, was opening day for all Asheville City Pools. It should have been a day of joy and laughter at Malvern Hills Pool. Instead, the pool sits empty and abandoned, and our community is without a much-needed resource.

Please come to City Hall today from 4-5 pm to rally for Malvern Hills Pool! We will have popsicles and snacks for the kids. Wear your Malvern Hills Pool T-shirt if you have one (or a blue t-shirt if you don't). Brass Your Heart, a volunteer brass band, is hoping to be there with some awesome live music!

We have the support of the majority of City Council already (thank you!!), but we don't yet have buy in from the Asheville Parks and Recreation Department. Let's come with positive energy and give them the message that rebuilding this pool is the best decision for ALL of Asheville -- families and citizens of all ages, races, income levels, and backgrounds gather every summer at Malvern Hills Pool, a truly accessible, affordable, and diverse public gathering space.
