Thank you to all of the Malvern Hills Pool supporters who showed up in-person to the City Council meeting on May 14th!
Sage Turner, Kim Roney, Maggie Ullman, and Esther Manheimer expressed their support for rebuilding MHP with funds from November's GO Bond.
City Council as a whole does not support raising the GO Bond from $75 to $78 million to allocate $3 million to MHP. However, there may be support for moving funds from one of the other GO Bond categories (specifically affordable housing, which has currently been allotted $25 million) to Parks & Recreation (currently allocated $15 million) for MHP.
Please, email your City Council members. Write letters. Ask your kids to write letters. We need them to hear, loud and clear, that there *must* be a commitment to rebuilding this needed and beloved community asset by June 2026.
The next City Council meeting is Tuesday, May 28, at 5 pm at City Hall, Council Chamber (2nd floor). The meeting might be moved to Harrah's if they expect a large number of community members to show up. Please come and show support by wearing your blue Malvern Hills Pool T-shirt. Click here to request one by May 20th! (adult and children's sizes available). T-shirt order form
We need as many people as possible at the May 28 meeting. This is our last opportunity to secure funding for the pool!
