Hi again folks. I hope you're having a good week.  

Sadly, Rec & Parks has chosen to step up even more aggressive enforcement, rather than choosing to listen to the community.  That's ok, it only reflects negatively upon them.  It's always darkest before the dawn, right?  We're now at more than 800 signatures on this petition.  Let's work together to keep the visibility up on this initiative, keep the signature count growing, and look for more ways to get the city to realize that we're united, and we're here for the long haul.

Here is a folder with a new batch of flyers, which you are more than welcome to use physically or digitally.  

They're designed to be loosely reminiscent of Nike ads.  The premise: dogs are just as much athletes as the beer-league kickball and softball players who seem to have our public park under lockdown. 

Don't get me wrong, I love beer-league sports.  I played beer-league softball for years and some of my fondest memories came from those games.  But, let's be real...we're not talking about Oracle Park here.  The park is not knee-deep in dog poop as the mean-spirited naysayers claim.  The turf is not being destroyed as noted in the city's remarks to our piece in The San Francisco Standard.  There is plenty of space for everybody at Jackson, including sports players AND dog owners.

Whether it stems from lobbying by private for-profit enterprises such as Volo Sports...or whether it's simply outdated zoning that's completely out-of-step with modern Potrero Hill, the city has chosen to double-down enforcing a bad policy instead of choosing to listen to the community.

Most of these new flyers use stock photos that I have purchased.  But I'm a dog-photographer and I'd be more than happy to shoot photos of your dog—at no cost of course—and use them to help create even more versions of these.
