Re Open the Coronial Inquiry into T.J. Hickeys Death.Stop Aboriginal Deaths in Custody Now

The issue

 

we, the undersigned want justice for the unresolved murder of T.J.Hickey and for all Aboriginals who die in Custody. T.J.died in Warerloo in February 2004. His bike was rammed by a Redfern Police Car. Eight years later there is still no justice for the young Aboriginal man and his family. The Royal Commission on Aboriginal Deaths in Custody in 1991 made 339 recommendations to Stop Deaths in Custody. Not one of them has been implemented. Hundreds of Aboriginal people died before and hundreds have died since.
