While the MENA conference went ahead as planned with sponsorship from Nestle and Danone and an additional infant formula company (Liptis) was revealed as a sponsor, RCPCH has ackonwledged the concerns from its members, the public and advocates around the world.
On January 31, the RCPCH issued the following statement apologizing for the "confusion" and suspending infant formula manufacturer relationships until a College review is completed : https://www.rcpch.ac.uk/news-events/news/rcpch-statement-future-funding-agreements-formula-milk-companies
We encourage petitioners and supporters to continue to let the College know that only a policy that upholds the Code in its entirety, in letter and spirit, will protect babies and their families.
